A life of clutter for a life of ....

The bowing bar of my cupboard under the weight of a third of my clothes (the fur is fake.. VERY)

Phew, I've started getting rid of most of my possessions and boy is it taking a long time. I cant believe I've accumulated so much in the past couple of years.
I really am quite sentimental and that generally makes it hard for me to let go of objects, but I've limited myself to storing a small camphor-wood chest full of my favorite and most cherished items here in Australia, mostly photos and special little things my family and partner has given me. I know that if i want to travel I can't be tied down with material possessions.

When I think of a new life, a new beginning and the great adventure of being overseas is going to be like I realise that I'll still have things i can cherish, buy they will be memories and experiences.

I'm so happy I've decided to do this, and one day when I'll be able to look back and say "Wow, what an adventure!"

Saying goodbye

I am planning to move to Japan in 4, almost 5, months from Brisbane, Australia, so this will be my blog of my travels and adventures there, and in other places in the world, as well as my memories of Australia, which I will be starting with as I prepare to leave here.

I'm excited as I’m moving to not only a new country, but a new culture whose language I am yet to learn. I am selling or giving away the majority of my possessions and jumping into a whole new life. I'm going to try and document as much as I can so anyone else planning to go, or anyone who just has a curiosity can learn things about life there.
